Commencements

This is a photo of Texas A&M graduatesReed Arena proudly hosts commencement ceremonies for Texas A&M University and area high schools.

Please note the following rules and regulations:

  • Seating is open and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Saving seats is not permitted. For Texas A&M commencements, it is recommended that you arrive up to an hour early to ensure seating together for larger groups.
  • No balloons are permitted inside Reed Arena.
  • Strollers must be checked into the main office at Reed Arena.
  • No outside food or drinks are permitted. Concessions will be available.
  • No air horns are permitted.

The top three rows in each section are reserved for mobility impaired guests.  Most of these reserved areas can accommodate wheelchair seating.  One family member/attendant per mobility impaired patron is permitted to sit in the reserved areas.  These areas are accessible from the ground level concourse through the North, East and Main Entrances.

Thursday, May 12, 2:00 p.m. – Reed Arena
Degree Candidates – Please arrive at 1:15 p.m.; lines will begin forming around 1:35 p.m.

  • Graduate degrees in the College of Engineering

Thursday, May 12, 7:00 p.m. – Reed Arena
Degree Candidates – Please arrive at 6:15 p.m.; lines will begin forming around 6:35 p.m.

  • Undergraduate degrees in the College of Engineering

Friday, May 13, 9:00 a.m. – Reed Arena
Degree Candidates – Please arrive at 8:15 a.m.; lines will begin forming around 8:35 a.m.

  • Graduate and Undergraduate degrees in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences
  • Graduate and Undergraduate degrees in the College of Geosciences

Friday, May 13, 2:00 p.m. – Reed Arena
Degree Candidates – Please arrive at 1:15 p.m.; lines will begin forming around 1:35 p.m. Military commissioning for all branches of service will occur during this ceremony.

  • Graduate and Undergraduate degrees in the College of Architecture
  • Graduate and Undergraduate degrees in the College of Science
  • Graduate and Undergraduate degrees in the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences

Friday, May 13, 7:00 p.m. – Reed Arena

  • Graduate and Undergraduate degrees in the College of Education and Human Development
