many different types of events: Texas A&M University
Commencement, Muster, Concerts, Men’s and Women’s
Basketball, the Circus, Wrestling, Monster Trucks, Bull
Riding, Conventions, Trade Shows, High School
Graduations, small and large banquets and meetings, and
lots more!!!
We need you! Reed Arena hires seasonal and
part-time employees to help us with these events.

Major/Essential Duties of Job: The guest service
department is our first line of communication to our
guest, and it is our responsibility to greet everybody
with a smile. Job roles may include ticket takers,
parking attendants, building security, and/or section
assistances. After every event, ushers are scheduled a
clean-up assignment within a section of the arena.
Requirement: When you are
called to work you will be given a start time and a
projected finish time. Unfortunately, events can last
longer than expected or in a few cases end sooner. You
are required to stay until the work is completed.
Dress: Khaki pants, dark
colored shoes and socks, and white dress shirt.
Depending on the event, a polo shirt or a blue blazer
will be issued.
Qualifications: Customer
Service and good communication skills required!
Schedule: Schedules are
distributed monthly, and event hours vary. Work shifts
can range from 2 hours to 16 hours per event.
Wages: $7.00/hour; paid
bi-weekly, hours range 10-30 biweekly.

Major/Essential Duties of Job:
Stagehands may be asked to work on a wide variety of
tasks including, but not limited to: unloading and
loading trucks, set-up/strike of lights, sets, stages,
risers, chairs, the basketball floor, curtains, truss,
tables, or other equipment. Stagehands could be asked to
perform light cleaning duties before, during and/or
after events. Also, stagehands may be needed to during
shows for: wardrobe, follow spot, or backstage.
Requirement: When you are called to

Dress: Stagehands must wear long
pants and closed-toe shoes at all times. If you will be
working during an event, appropriate dress will be
specified. You might also want to have a pair of leather
work gloves.
Qualifications: No previous training
or background is required; however, previous
construction, electrical, or theatre experience is
helpful. The ability to speak and understand both
written and spoken English is required. The work is
often very physical in nature, so lifting and moving
heavy objects is necessary.
Schedule: Schedules are distributed
weekly, and event hours vary. Work shifts can range from
2 hours to 16 hours per event.
Wages: $6.25/hour paid
bi-weekly, hours range 25-40 weekly.

Reed Arena invites all student organizations, church
groups, family groups, non-profit organizations, and any
community groups to participate in the opportunity of
assisting with the clean–up or event set-up. Make some
extra money and work as a team!
Reed Arena will furnish the group
with all supplies and equipment required to perform the
job.

Experience/ Qualifications:
Group must be able to follow instructions, work
in a timely manner and work cooperatively with
others. Must be able to read and comprehend
instructions written in English.

open toed shoes or flip flops are allowed. No torn
or lose clothing.

Clean- up Groups
Major/Essential Duties of Job:
Primary cleaning responsibility for clean up groups
will be to sweep, mop and pick up trash; additional
responsibilities may be coordinated with Reed staff.
Cleaning and event time will be coordinated by Reed
Arena.
Set- up Groups
Major/Essential Duties of Job:
Primary responsibility to assist Reed Arena staff
set up events, may include changeover, court
removal, chair placement, and stage set up;
additional responsibilities may be coordinated with
Reed staff. Set-up and event time will be
coordinated by Reed Arena.
Working Conditions: Set up
groups required heavy lifting so those groups’
members should be able to lift between 60 to 100
lbs.
